The Brief:

Inspire behaviour change among Gen Z individuals and below, who are at risk of developing myopia. By leveraging digital design and innovative technology.

The Insight:

Gen Z individuals are spending significant amounts of time indoors, often immersed in digital screens for work, study, and leisure activities. This sedentary lifestyle contributes to the development and progression of myopia.

The Proposition:

Develop a smart light solution that not only addresses the immediate need for optimal lighting conditions but also serves as a catalyst for positive behavior change. By integrating gaming activation or clever usage of technology, the smart light will engage users in interactive experiences that encourage them to spend more time outdoors, take regular breaks from screen-time, and adopt healthy eye care practices.

The Idea:

"Luxx" utilises gamification elements and smart technology to motivate Gen Z individuals to form positive habits and mitigate the risk of myopia. Through interactive features embedded in the light's interface, users are encouraged to take breaks, engage in outdoor activities, and maintain a balanced lifestyle. By seamlessly integrating into their daily routines, the SmartLight becomes a powerful tool for inspiring behaviour change and promoting long-term eye health among Gen Z.
